The key to removing lip stick stains and marks is to scrape off as much as you can with a blunt knife. The next step is to rub fabric against fabric with a touch of soap or washing-up liquid to start off with, and then wash the garment as usual. If the lip stick stain persists, try a proprietary stain remover. Another cleaning tip is to dab non-washable fabrics with methylated spirits. If all else fails, a simple tip is to try using petroleum jelly on lipstick marks before they go in the wash.
